Content Organization and Structure

The site has are three main types of content: pages, forums and news. This article talks about the organization of the pages.

The content pages are organized into three hierarchical books:

• About DVDAfterEdit includes the overview and specifics for the products
• Support Department includes the FAQs and contact information
• Resources is the largest book, including background materials, articles and tutorials, downloads and release notes

In addition there is the "Tips for Editors" book, of which this article is a piece. It is visible only to members of the "Editors" group, which at present includes Larry, Ben, Donna and Todd.

To view the outline of a book, go to the Administer section of the bottom left navigation panel, and click on "Content" and then click on "Books." You will see a list of the books plus an "Orphaned Pages" section which should be empty. Choose a book, and you will be presented with a structured view of all the contents of that book.
