A little thing to help

Just a thought; when I send the replicator my DLT build sheets, I have to go to the dvdAE log file and copy and paste the relevant bits. It would be great to have a window that pops up after the build (set on/off in the preferences) that asks if I would like to print, or save to file, the DLT build info.

Also, I really like Michael's idea of something similar to Photoshop Actions. I use 'copy all commands to text' as one way to accomplish this, however some actions I perform for nearly every DVD I author and it would be useful to have single click option.

Certain actions could be 'templated' if you like, to be downloaded from the site.

There could even be amazing 'bug-fix' action-templates, which could fix the specific problems of various authoring systems. These could be a major selling point to novice users who may feel daunted by the DVD spec on offer in dvdAE, but desire it's capability.

I hope I am expressing myself clearly, it's getting late over here.

The DVDAE log file

Hi Will,

In addition to the log window that is available when you run the program, a log file is written to the disk in the folder: startup disk, users, your user name, library, preferences, com.tfdvd.DVDAfterEdit.Logs.

As is often the case, this information can be found in the archives, but is not obvious to those that didn't notice it when the feature was first released. These are the kinds of shortcomings we hope to rectify in the future, but there's a lot of work to do.

Regards,

Larry
