low-quality extract with cross-referenced to subtitles

I have a project, for which I would like to start with a commercial DVD, convert it to one of AVI/Flash/Real/QuickTime format (in low quality), and extract the subtitles, with a crossreference (time code, frame no?) between the text of the subtitle and the frame/scene ir appears on.

Would your software allow/facilitate these tasks?

DVDAfterEdit is not ripping software

Hi,

DVDAE is designed for producing DVD's, rather than taking them apart for other purposes. You need ripping software, such as AVS Video Tools on the PC, or possibly MacTheRipper.

Larry
