DAE crash when opening a DVD folder

First time I see this, trying to open a DVD folder (Copied from a DVD-R and unlocked permissions) but DAE crash. I don't understand all the codes included in the report, what can I look for to make you help me more easier ?

Thanks
PL

Right

This DVD was done by a DVD recorder, so this is probably the point. Thanks for pointing me out these issues. I wanted to re-use the VOBs but had to rip them. Not so a big problem, just time-consuming.

Thanks again!
Pete

DVD Recorders

Another time I've seen this is with the output of hardware DVD Recorders - these play fine but can do all kinds of odd things encoding and spec-wise - it's almost always better to rip the assets and re-author.

Hi Pierre-Luc, DVDAE is

Hi Pierre-Luc,

DVDAE is pretty robust, and in general a crash when opening a new project is likely to mean a corrupt VIDEO_TS folder. There is a known issue with projects using Seamless Multi-Story ( SMS ) or Seamless Branching, and in addition one or two users have reported problems trying to open projects from network drives or large discs ( > 250 GB ) - however to the best of our knowledge these are due to issues in OS-X rather than DVDAE itself. You could try re-ripping the VIDEO_TS folder to the internal hard drive to rule this out, and also using a ripping utility instead of a straight file copy to see if that makes a difference. Failing that, you can send the disc to Larry for further analysis.
