Replacing Video on DLT

I need to replace an existing video open for a new one on finished DVDs (the product is being picked up by a new distributor, and I need to replace the old distributor video open with the new one). I have purchased DVDAE, but see it's a bit more complex than anticipated.

I found the tutorial on 'Replace VTS' but it seems to overwrite my menus as well as replacing the video I need to replace. I'm trying to understand the functions, but - as always - am on a tremendous deadline and have four of these titles to get done. Any help understanding the details of just replacing the video (with corresponding audio) would be greatly appreciated.

De-select "Import Menu Information"

Hi Frank,

Sorry not to reply sooner. All you should need to do is make sure the Import Menu Information with VOB box is un-ticked when you select the VTS you're writing over the old one - and deselect Import Commands with VOB, too, while you're at it. These options don't stand out quite as well in the more recent OS-X file requester as they did when the article screenshots were taken, but they're still there.

Hope that helps - please let me know how you get on !

Cheers,

Ian

PS. This will work assuming the menus are in the VTS Menu Domain - however if they are included in the actual VTS Title VOB for some reason, you'll have a little more work on your hands, but it's still possible to do what you need. To check this, when you unfold the VTSM node in the original project and click on some non-dummy PGCs, do you see the menus in the Preview window ?
