Reuse of DLT

I thought a thread on this came in one day but can't seem to find it out.

Should there be any problem reusing a DLT ? I mean, I'm on a project I had to output 3 times due to minor corrections, but using the same DLT. And each time the total size differed slightly. I didn't erase the DLT, just output as usual with DAE. The last one is slightely higher in size than the previous one. I'm wondering if data present on the DLT, if the overwrite is a bit less in size, could cause problems to the glass master ?

Everything appears to be fine but my client tells me that the last check discs are the same as the previous batch...

It plows ahead

Writing over the same tape is fine. A very strict protocol knows exactly where the data on the tape ends.

Regards,

Larry
