Hi Larry

I did a very simple process, which involved taking a replicated INXS DVD5, all regions, no CSS, less than 4 GB. I extracted to a VIDEO_TS folder and then opened it with TFDVDEdit 3.0b25 and generated a Tape Image, which left me with a Layer 0 folder that I recorded to a DVD-R and sent it to the replicator.
He made the glass master without exploring it first with the DDP Editor they've got on their new system, and checked it afterwards, and he got this error message:

Length Ddp 1558096 larger than control.dat 1558082, take 1558082

So, the glass was mastered to the smaller size, for what he tells me (1558082 sectors instead of 1558096)
Just in case, I told him NOT to press the DVDs, and wait for my reply after I posted this to the forum.
Could you enlighten me a bit about this? I'm out of my league with this figures.

Hi Enrique,

Please post or send to me our log file from the creation of the tape image layer 0 folder. That will contain the information required to analyze this. You should be using the latest version of the program, though I don't know of anything that was changed in this area. You might run it again with DVDAfterEdit 3.0b32 and compare the logs, particularly the control info and file extents, to see if they are different.

As I'm writing this to you, I'm going through the whole process again, and I'll keep you posted of the outcome as soon as it finishes. But I have a more pressing problem now: some extractions from DLT to Disk Folder are failing, while others go through without a hitch. I just had one fail after one hour of reading the first tape (it was recorded in 40 mode) and telling that there were still 230 minutes left! I'm attaching the log for you to see. Nothing in the log (apparently, and AFAIK) tells that the extraction failed or why.
Any pointers you can give me? In the meantime, best to you.

Larry, what's your email address? I think I'd better send you the logs attached to an email, they are pretty extense to paste 2 in a row here.
I finished creating the DDP image from a VIDEO_TS folder, did a Compare afterwards (with no errors) and have one log for each process.
