Different UOPs on same VTS chapters possible?

Hi

I have a VTS with two videos that needs some surgery: first video, first chapter, is the usual FBI-like legalese logo. Second video, second chapter, is the Antipiracy videoclip. The client wants all UOPs forbidden (except stop) on the first chapter, and some UOPs permitted on the second (like Skip, Stop, and some others)
Is this possible if both are chapters of one VTS? How should I go about this?
TIA and best regards

Useful technique

Hi Enrique,

Yes, this should be easy. Rather than setting the UOPs at the PGC level, you want to set them in the navpacks. So:

  • Select the first navpack of the first cell of each chapter, and set the UOPs as you want them
  • Select the text saying "Prohibited User Operations" and hit Apple-C to copy the new value.
  • Now select the PG/PTT node of the whole chapter, and choose Edit > Paste User Ops Deeply Repeated ( Option-Apple-V ). This will paste the UOP down into all the navpacks in the PG/PTT you selected, so the UOP settings will now apply to this chapter/PG/PTT but not any others.

Repeat the procedure for the second chapter, first setting the different UOPs in it's first navpack. That should do it !

PS. Note that UOPs denied in the navpacks in this way override the "allowed" settings at the PGC level
