Crashing on Leopard/Intel Mac when Replacing VOB

Hey everyone,

A big thankyou to the creators of DVDAfterEdit, you have made my life so much easier.

One slight issue I'm having with the software. The following commands will crash the program without fail:

Import Video Title Set
Replace Video Title Set
Import Menu VOB
Replace Menu VOB

Right now I can do what I want with the program, but I'd like to gain full functionality if at all possible. I'm running on OSX Leopard (10.5.5) on an Intel Core 2 Duo Mac.

Thank you for sharing the workaround.

This worked for me as well but I just wanted to add that the folder should be drug to the application icon and not the shortcut icon on the tray at the bottom if you happen to have it there.

Thanks again!

Workaround for 10.5! (and also 10.6, ed.)

Hey everyone,
Thought I'd give something back to the community and share a workaround I've discovered by accident. Not sure if anyone else knows about this.

If you drag the folder which encloses the VIDEO_TS folder for your DVD onto DVD AfterEdit's icon to start the program, then the "Import Video Title Set" and "Replace Menu VOB" functions will work.

But, if you open the program normally and load a folder through its own dialogs, they will crash.

Hopefully this means 10.5 users won't have to have a separate 10.4 install in order to use all of this great program's features :)

D'oh, ah well - thanks for

D'oh, ah well - thanks for the confirmation! Will have to plan more carefully instead :)

Those functions were broken by Leopard

Hi Lyris,

Sorry, Apple decided to break support for Carbon dialog callbacks with Leopard. So you must run Tiger or earlier to do the VOB functions.

Regards,

Larry
