as i cannot unfortunately dedicate a machine to 'Edit, i would like to update the machine i run 'Edit on to os 10.4. in addition to the OS upgrade, i would probably end up upgrading to QT7. does anyone know what i stand to break? my first guess would be my (so far nearly flawlessly functioning) adaptec scsi card, but if that ceases to work i think i can justify ordering an atto ul3s. will anything else 'Edit related make these updates come back to haunt me?
cheers,
h

Hi Harold,
Joe Rice reported, and I confirmed, that iSynch 2.0 crashes when you try to open it's preferences, if the TFDVDEdit Limit Offset data handler is present. (The thing that figures out how to preview a DVD using QuickTime). There are many other reports of iSynch crashing with other third-party apps, and the problem is definitely iSynch's, not ours.

Larry
