Hi All,
I'm going to start setting up an FAQ page, with links to articles & threads, where available. Please post any suggestions here - with the link, if possible ! Feel free to also post requests.
So, a few initial thoughts:
Why does my DLT drive report "format failed" ?
What is the best way to write DVD-9 test copies ?
( Thanks for the post on that, Tony !)
How do I replace a copyright logo/company ident/bonus feature etc ?
( Ie. a simple guide to replace VTS )
Cheers,
Ian

Here's one:
Q. Why can't the Replication house read my DDP images submitted on DVD-R? They say that the image size is smaller than that specified in the DDPID file.
A. Beware of the Toast "Mac & PC" data option, as it creates the PC file system in ISO instead of UDF format, and ISO-9660 supports files only up to 2 GB in size. Instead, in Toast 6, use DVD-ROM (UDF) and Data, not Video.

Hi Ian,
My first impressions of how everything is set up over here is that it would be nice to have a "How To" FAQ, with little things like "How to Loop Motion Menus" - I know the answer is on the forum but it took me a little while to find it, which I found frustrating.
Basically a "How to" FAQ with lots of simple things you guys don't even think twice about would be great for newbies, especially with all the new versions coming out.
Here's another question that might be good for newbies "Where do I put my scene selection menus?" I know that Ben illustrates two methods in his articles, but again it would be good to have information like this in a more accessible source, rather than having to read through a bunch of articles to get it.
Don't get me wrong I think articles are the best way to learn, I'm thinking of the FAQ more as a quick reference.
Kind regards
Will

Hi Will,
I'm starting to work on this, thanks for the suggestion. Larry, should we have two FAQs, one "Technical Support" and the other "Techniques" ?
Comments welcome,
Ian
