I've been given two dvd-r masters from a dvd recorder and I just noticed looking at the video attributes that it's 1/2 D1 pal so 352x576. Anyone else seen this? I'll have to see if other recorders do the same thing...

I've seen that before - the resolution is cut for those long time record modes.... I think most of the recorders have that "feature"....
