Hi Trai Would you recommend deleting Nav packs or entire cells in the Vts 1 Domain (Main Track). There's an Ad at the end of the Mpeg 2 stream that my client would like me to delete .

Hi Effect,

Deleting PGCs, Cells and Nav Packs does not affect the content of the VOB, just so you know.

To get rid of that Ad at the end of the Mpeg stream, you would have to either remultiplex that one Track in DVD SP (if you still have the original assets), and then perform a replace VTS operation on the DVD (after first saving off the projects commands for repasting back in after the replace operation), or; if you don't have the original assets, you would need to rip the VOB, and use an mpeg editor to lop off the ad at the end, remultiplex the Track with the reconstituted assets, and then replace the VTS.

Or, you could just drag the program out of the Title PGCs program map (if there's not one there, hopefully an I-frame/Nav Pack exists at the spot where you can create one), that will bypass playback of the Ad at the end, and preserve the navigation of the project (the PGCs post commands wouldn't be affected). The ad would still be there, but there would be no way it could be played.

Hi,

Thats pretty much what I do all the time. I add a cell just prior or at the point where I want to delete from and then I remove the cell and its navpaks. Works just fine and you can't access that part of the dvd at all.
