Interface

Introduction

HDAE's interface is divided into several windows. These are:

  • Disc Overview - When you first run the program and select a Project, this is the first window to open. It contains general information about the project - for example if it is an SD or HD DVD; if it is PAL or NTSC; the size of the project etc. It also offers a graphical representation of the project, and allows you to set the layer break for dual-layer projects. Formatting functions are initiated from this window
  • Browser - Allows you to unfold the structure of any HD DVD or DVD and select a part of it to examine or edit. On the right-hand side of the Browser window is the Editing Pane, where you can make changes to almost any aspect of an HD DVD or DVD
  • Preview - Plays any video and/or audio relating to the item currently selected in the Browser
  • Command Editor - Displays pre, post and button commands and allows them to be edited
