I am a Flash programmer and have been commissioned to build a hybrid-DVD (Video-DVD + DVD-ROM).
The Video section is being provided by my client as a DDP image. The Final DVD will be a dual layer DVD.
This is the first time I am doing a hybrid DVD, thus far on my previous projects (DVD-ROM) I have been providing an image file to the replicator (iso file).
Do I provide the DDP image of the video section on one DVD-R and the ISO of the DVD-ROM on another? Or do I need to package it together? If so can you help me?
I presume the video and ROM sections will be on individual layers. Can the video section be beyond one layer and the ROM the rest?
Thanks.
You'll need to extract the
You'll need to extract the DDP image of the video content back to a Folder, add the new ROM content and then write a new DDP image ("Tape Image") using DVDAE.
ROM content is always at the end of the disc (ie. in Layer 1) You can't control it's placement beyond that.
We wouldn't recommend supplying an ISO of a dual-layer project, the layer-break will be more or less random. DVDAE will place it correctly.
Hope that helps,
Ian
